Easy Pragmatic Understanding Tone And Attitude

Listen to the following conversation between two classmates discussing their final exam preparations:

Classmate 1: I really think I need to step up my game before the exam next week.

Classmate 2: I hear you! It feels like there's so much material to cover. Are you stressed about it?

Classmate 1: Definitely! I just want to make sure I do well.

Classmate 2: I know how you feel. I've been studying every day, but sometimes I feel overwhelmed. I think taking breaks helps a lot.

Classmate 1: Yeah, I've tried that, but it’s hard to get back into studying after a break!

Note: This question has been adapted from its original format to accommodate a reading-based version. In the official TOEFL exam, speaking and listening sections require verbal responses and audio prompts, which are not represented here.
