Calculating Learning Time During School

A school day starts at 8:00 AM and ends at 3:00 PM. During the school day, there are two breaks: a lunch break that lasts for 30 minutes and a recess that lasts for 15 minutes. If a student wants to find out how many minutes they are actually learning in class, how would they calculate the total learning time?

First, calculate the total time from the start of the school day to the end of the school day in minutes. Then subtract the total time of the breaks (lunch and recess) to find the learning time.
