Clara's Disappointment about the Birthday Party

Clara was excited to receive an invitation to her friend Emily's birthday party. She had been looking forward to it for weeks and planned to buy a special gift for Emily. However, the day before the party, Clara’s parents informed her that they had to go out of town unexpectedly and wouldn't be able to take her to the party. Clara felt disappointed and worried she would miss out on the fun with her friends.

Despite her sadness, Clara decided to send a birthday card and the gift she had already bought for Emily. She hoped this would still make Emily happy, even if Clara couldn't be there to celebrate.
