Find the Length of a Side in Triangle Using the Law of Cosines

Very Hard Problem Solving Geometry

In triangle XYZ, the lengths of sides XY and XZ are given as follows:

XY = 8 units, XZ = 6 units, and angle Y is 120 degrees. Calculate the length of side YZ.

Use the Law of Cosines, which states:

$$c^2 = a^2 + b^2 - 2ab \cos(C)$$

where $c$ is the side opposite angle C, and $a$ and $b$ are the other two sides.
