Look at the two shapes below. The first shape is a butterfly, and the second shape is a simple heart. Both shapes are drawn on paper.

The butterfly has its wings reflected over the vertical line down its center, creating mirror images on both sides. The heart, however, has a similar property where the left side mirrors the right side relative to the vertical line.
