A report by the World Health Organization analyzed the effects of technology on children's cognitive development. The findings indicated that children who spent more than two hours a day on screens displayed lower attention spans compared to their peers who had limited screen time. Moreover, the report emphasized that excessive screen exposure was linked to difficulties in both social interactions and academic performance.
In light of this research, educators and parents are being urged to monitor the amount of time children spend on screens and to promote activities that enhance face-to-face communication and problem-solving skills.
