A new research study explored the impact of social media on interpersonal relationships among teenagers. The study included interviews with over 200 teens, who shared their experiences with online interactions versus face-to-face communications. Many participants reported feeling more connected to friends through social media; however, several expressed that these online interactions sometimes led to misunderstandings or feelings of isolation. Overall, the researchers concluded that while social media can be a tool for connection, it also poses risks to the depth of personal relationships.
