Impact of Sunlight on Plant Growth

In a recent study, researchers found that plants exposed to direct sunlight grew taller than those kept in shaded areas. The study involved two groups of identical plants: one group was placed in an area where they received eight hours of sunlight each day, while the other group was kept in a shaded location with only two hours of sunlight. At the end of the study, the plants in direct sunlight averaged a height of 15 inches, while the shaded plants averaged only 10 inches. This study highlights the crucial role sunlight plays in the growth of plants.
