Mark's Summer Plans

Mark had been looking forward to his summer vacation for months. He made a list of activities he wanted to do, including going to the amusement park, visiting his grandparents, and learning how to skateboard. When the first day of summer arrived, he jumped out of bed, packed his bag, and raced out the door. However, as he reached the street, he stopped suddenly. Dark clouds were rolling in, and a chilly wind began to blow.

Feeling disappointed, Mark stood there wondering what he should do instead. He could feel a raindrop hit his nose, and as he looked up, he saw that the sky was becoming darker by the minute. He remembered that his grandmother had suggested he come over to bake cookies with her if it rained. With a small sigh, Mark turned around and headed back inside.
