Oliver watched as the last leaves of autumn fell from the trees. He loved this time of year, when the air turned crisp, and the sky was a brilliant blue. Every day after school, he would run outside to jump into piles of leaves that his neighbor had raked up. One day, while playing, he noticed that the squirrels were busy gathering acorns and hiding them away. Oliver thought about how the animals prepared for the colder months ahead. He smiled, thinking how he had to finish his homework for school but he would find time to play in the leaves later.
