Rainforest Animals and Their Adaptations

Very Easy Reading Comprehension Factual Information

In the rainforest, many animals live among the trees. Monkeys swing from branch to branch, while tropical birds sing in the treetops. At night, jaguars hunt on the forest floor. Each of these animals has adapted to their environment in unique ways.

Monkeys use their long arms and tails to move through the trees easily. Birds have bright feathers to attract mates and camouflage to avoid predators. Jaguars, being nocturnal, have excellent night vision that helps them hunt in the dark.
