Listening Passage:
Speaker 1: So, I recently tried a new restaurant downtown, and I must say, it was an experience I'd rather forget.
Speaker 2: Really? What happened?
Speaker 1: Well, first of all, the service was incredibly slow. I waited for water for almost 15 minutes.
Speaker 2: That's frustrating! Did the food at least make up for it?
Speaker 1: Unfortunately, no. I ordered the seafood pasta, and it was overcooked and lacked flavor. It felt more like a chore to eat than enjoyable.
Speaker 2: That's disappointing. At least they could've managed the atmosphere?
Speaker 1: You would think so. The music was so loud that I could barely hear my own thoughts. By the time I left, my frustration overshadowed any enjoyment I could have had.
Speaker 2: Wow, sounds like a total letdown. Did you talk to the manager about your experience?
Speaker 1: I tried, but they seemed indifferent, almost like they were used to complaints. I won’t be going back there anytime soon.
