Understanding 'Peculiar'

Anna loved visiting her grandparents' farm every summer. It was a big place filled with animals, fields, and a beautiful garden. One afternoon, while exploring the garden, she found a peculiar fruit. It was small, round, and had an odd color that she had never seen before. Curious, she picked it up and examined it closely. 'What could this be?' she wondered.
