Understanding Purpose in Conversation
Listen to the following conversation between two friends, Julia and Mike, who are discussing their weekend plans:
Julia: "Hey Mike, what are your plans for this weekend? I was thinking of going to the new art exhibition at the gallery downtown. It seems really interesting!"
Mike: "That sounds fun! I've heard a lot about it. Maybe I could join you?"
Julia: "Of course! I think it’s going to be a great way to spend some time together and enjoy some art. After that, we can grab lunch at that new café nearby. They say their sandwiches are delicious!"
Mike: "I’m in! It’s been a while since we had a day out like this. Let's do it!"
