Understanding Tone and Attitude in Conversations
Listen to the following conversation between two friends, Sam and Alex, discussing their favorite movies:
Sam: Have you seen the latest superhero movie? I thought it was pretty amazing!
Alex: Really? I found it quite boring, to be honest. The storyline was predictable.
Sam: Maybe, but I loved the special effects! They were so well done.
Alex: I agree with that. The visuals were impressive, but I just wanted something deeper in the plot.
Sam: That’s fair. Different tastes, I guess. What about that drama film we watched last week?
Alex: Oh, I liked that one! It had great character development and kept me engaged.
Sam: Yeah! I think it’s interesting how a good script can make such a difference in enjoyment.
