Volume Calculation of a Modified Rectangular Box

Hard Geometry And Measurement Volume And Surface Area

A rectangular box has a height of 10 inches, a length of 12 inches, and a width of 5 inches. A smaller box with a height of 2 inches, a length of 3 inches, and a width of 1 inch is removed from one of the corners of the larger box. What is the total volume of the remaining solid after the smaller box has been removed?

To find the volume of the larger rectangular box, use the formula:

$$V = l imes w imes h$$

And for the smaller box, apply the same formula.
